Scotia Plaza is Canada's 3rd tallest building (70 stories tall), and has been a Toronto landmark for 30 years.
With environmental concerns and rapidly rising utility rates, how does one optimize the energy management strategy of a mixed-use office building with over 2,000,000 ft² of conditioned space?
THE SOLUTION(S)
Installation of three(3) 190-ton heat recovery chillers to provide all of the building's heating requirements without needing to use any of the six(6) electric boilers.
These chillers provide the same heat as the electric boilers using 1/6th of the energy!
